Doris

The DORIS dispatch system serves to monitor tramway transport in the city of Prague. The checkpoints on a given service line (important tramstop signs, depot gateways, etc.) are equipped with infrabeacons that during the passage of the vehicle communicate with the IRCOM module on each tramcar. The information on passage of the vehicle is submitted by the vehicle's TETRA system radio station to the main switchboard.

At the operating control stations in tram depots and at switch points the controllers can monitor the position of all trams in the network as well as their deviations from the tram schedule in real time. Clearly arranged visualisation of data available to the DORIS system client is a matter of course.

This traffic control and information system is further interconnected with the control station system designed for radiotelephone communication with drivers.
